Neptune Coffee in the News.

This just crossed my desk (virtual if you will), The Amazing Kyle Larson from Stumptown was featured in an KIRO7 TV spot called iWitness video (Stumptown: There's A New Bean In Town). Watch him speak about Stumptown's coffee making methodologies wearing the finest in Neptune Coffee wear. This was all set up by Neptune's own Jill 'fingers in oh so many pies' Zawatski.

Silkscreening @ neptune.

Thanks to all the people who came out to make the silkscreening event with bherd studios last friday. A great time was had by all, we had two different designs going on for shirts: The ouiji board neptune coffee design, and the dual fish bherd design.

As a quick reminder to all those that made shirts, remember to set the design by covering the design with a couple sheets of regular paper and ironing on high for 3 minutes.

Well Facebook I've won this round.

So I can't be neptune coffee on facebook, but I can be me and also start a neptune coffee fan club on facebook. How very super-amazing. It will have to do.

There is one minor casualty of this war between facebook and I. dan@neptunecoffee.com is now blocked forever, so I have to use my yahoo email. This is just as well, for when starbux comes and offers me 11billion for neptune coffee. I won't have to create a new facebook me.

Facebooked.

Yesterday I created a facebook profile for neptune coffee with visions of a giant social networking online coffee shop. There would be people professing their love for Neptune. People would be meeting other regulars online. It was going to make the world a better place, really it was. It was a dream, and you were all there. (I forget the exact quote from the wizard of oz, but it would have made for an exciting last sentence)

Anywho, today I logged in to continue my quest only to learn that I had been shut down. According to the terms and conditions there shall be no impersonating any non-people things. Like say a coffee shop.

I'll give it another wack when I'm a little bit smarter, because I'd hate to have to resort to mySpace.

We've got a few updates for you today. The first one is we've finally put up a menu. yea! *confetti* This was done under threats from friends of creating a boycottNeptuneCoffee.com website. I'm glad it didn't come to my friends actively sabotaging my business. With friends like these....

The next one is Pastry case lights. if you were wondering what was kept in that strange dark case in the front of the store, you no longer need to wonder, it's been illuminated *more confetti*.

Lastly we now have a Sam. you may visit her between the hours of 11a - 5p m-f.
